Continental Divide Ride

The theme of this ride is to follow as many gravel roads as is possible following in the shadow the the Continental Divide. It will take us from Antelope Wells on the New Mexico/Mexican border up to Rooseville, Montana on the Canadian border. From there we will cross into Alberta, continue along the divide and ride the ice fields parkway and eventually make it to Yellowknife, NWT where the divide largely ends. The US side of the route has been established by mountain bikers.

Day 1
An early start for what ended up a 500 mile day. Initially the ride was through pleasant back roads of Nebraska then into Kansas but by days end I had pretty much had my fill of flat land and fields of wheat and corn. Collected a third rider, Randy, who will ride with us to Texas.
