Prelude
The bike was packed into a Triumph crate and shipped to Vancouver about 6 weeks in advance of me arriving. The intention was that it would be ready for me on arrival having cleared customs etc. No such luck as it happened so 2 days were wasted dealing with CBSA. Spent time wandering around Vancouver, obtaining maps and arranging insurance on the bike. All pretty painless really – ICBC and CBSA were easy to deal with. Excellent Japanese meal in a small cafe round the corner from the hotel. Vancouver is a delightful city.
